Tania Cowley – Founder

Welcome, I’m Tania, a lifelong student and teacher of ancient wisdom, and devotee of Devī. Nectar of Self is the expression of my heart’s deepest longing: to live in alignment with Truth, and to share the timeless teachings that support others in doing the same.
My work is rooted in the empowered and embodied traditions of Śrī Vidyā Tantra, Advaita Vedānta, and subtle yogic practices. These sacred lineages have illuminated my path and continue to guide my way; not as distant ideals, but as living wisdom for daily life.

A Bridge Between Worlds
I’ve spent 15 years in the Victorian school system as an educator, with a BA in Education and a focus on holistic learning and student well-being. Today, I teach in a small, values-aligned independent school – a place where heart, intellect, and spirit can meet. It brings me great joy to share Sanskrit, Philosophy, Yoga, Well-being, and Kirtan with children, and adults!
Education, for me, is not just about content, it’s about connection. Whether in a classroom or a yoga śala, I see my role as a guide: helping others return to their own Essence Nature, that place of inner knowing where wisdom already lives.
A Life of Practice
I was first drawn to yogic teachings at age 11, when I picked up my first spiritual text. That spark carried me through the waves of adolescence, and into a deeper awakening in my early twenties. Since then, the teachings have remained a steady companion; both a refuge and a mirror.
My practice is deeply devotional. I’ve studied with Gurus and teachers in both India and Australia, and I continue to immerse myself in the sacred sciences of Sanskrit, mantra, subtle yoga, and philosophy. I closely work with Devī practices, invoking and embodying the archetypes of the Divine Feminine as a means of living in right relationship with Reality.
These teachings are not something I believe in, they are something I live. And from that lived place, I share.
The Heart of My Offerings
I believe that returning to the Self — to our natural state of harmony — is both possible and essential. Through unlearning conditioned patterns and remembering our place within the greater cycle of life, we reconnect with pratibhā — our innate, uninfluenced intuition.
My offerings are an invitation to explore this path in your own way:
~ Through online kūla (community), containers, immersions, and retreats
~ Through mantra, mythology, subtle yoga, Sanskrit, and philosophy
~ Through integration, the key to lasting transformation
Devotion in Action
To me, walking the path of Devotion means seeing and creating Beauty everywhere, in all beings, in all experiences. My work is a form of sevā (selfless service), a small offering to the light of Śānti Somā — the peaceful flow of Consciousness, in both eyes-open and eyes-closed states.
My deepest intention is to empower others to live in harmony with themselves and the world; embracing both shadow and light, and moving gracefully toward the union of śivaśakti.
Come as you are. Come home to your Self.
Let us walk together in presence, in remembrance, in Love.

Certification
With over 1,000 hours of formal training, my studies span within Bhakti Yoga, Hatha, Patanjali’s Ashtanga, Karma Yoga, Mantra Meditation, Yin Yoga, Buddhist and Vedic philosophy, Vedic Astrology, Sanskrit, and Śrī Vidyā-based Devī practices. My teachers and lineages include the Nath Tradition (Advaita Vedānta), Saraswati Bhakti Academy, Dharma School, and wisdom holders in both India and Australia.
Each training has deepened my devotion, refined my practice, and expanded my ability to guide others home to themselves. I am here to support you – with presence, precision, and love.
Acknowledgements
I would like to acknowledge the work and wisdom of the Traditional Custodians of the land on which I stand, teach, practice, play and love – the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation. I also extend this acknowledgment and reverence to Bhāratmātā (Mother India) from which this Wisdom manifested, for the benefit of all Beings.
Deepest love to all my teachers on this path.
